Annual Scientific Forum
ASF is an annual routine activity as one of commitment of Nursing Master Program of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta to contribute to the development of nursing science and nursing education in Indonesia. The purpose of ASF is to improve the academic atmosphere and to provide space for academics, researchers, practitioners and other stakeholders in the field of nursing to formulate the development of nursing science and nursing education in Indonesia.
ASF is organized in cooperation with various health and nursing education institutions in Indonesia as well as in Asia, followed by academics, researchers and practitioners in the field of nursing.
Every year the Master Program of Nursing Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta receives and sends students from nursing education institutions abroad in the student exchange program. The purpose of this activity is to provide insight into transcultural nursing, enrich student experience, and improve knowledge in nursing and nursing education.
Nursing Master’s Degree Program Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta is currently working with nursing education institutions in Indonesia and Faculty of Nursing Khon Kaen University Thailand to conduct research in Indonesia and Thailand.
Currently, Master Program of Nursing is also initiating joint research program with Central Taiwan University of Science and Technology and Chubu Gakuin University Japan.
Practice abroad is one of the programs that must be followed by all students of Nursing Master Program Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, taken in Block V semester III with weight 4 credits. To date, there have been 5 nursing education institutions which are the destinations of the Practicuum Abroad program: Khon Kaen University Thailand, Ubon Ratchathani University Thailand, Ifugao State University of Thailand, Central Taiwan University of Science and Technology, and Guangxi Medical University China. Implementation of Practicuum Abroad, in its implementation also utilizes Hospital-owned educational institutions such as Khon Kaen Hospital Thailand, Srinagarind Hospital Thailand and Changhua Christian Hospital Taiwan.
