The 3rd Asian Congress in Nursing Education (ACiNE)

The 3rd Asian Congress in Nursing Education (ACiNE) was held on 18 – 20 April 2018 at Royal Ambarrukmo Hotel, Sleman, DIY. Asosiasi Institusi Pendidikan Ners Indonesia (AIPNI) and Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) became the hosted of the event.
ACiNE was the prestigious Asia-Pacific Nursery Education Conference that held every two years and was first held at Mahidol University Thailand in 2014. The topic of 3rd ACiNE congress was, “Optimizing Inter-Professional Education to Improve Health Care  Quality but Not Limited to : Nursing Education, Practice, Theory & Management ”. The 3rd ACiNE  followed by several countries, such as Indonesia, Thailand, Japan, China, Taiwan, Ireland, and Sweden. One of the main goals of ACiNE was to discussed education, focused on the idea of ​​transformative nursing education, information and expertise, and developed a joint network between the leaders of nursing school to prepared 21st century nursing graduates.
The 3rd ACiNE congress was attended by the heads of nursing education, lecturers, and students who were members of ACiNE, including Master of Nursing Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY). Besides, there are also universities in Indonesia who are members of ACiNE, namely Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta, Universitas Riau, and foreign universities, such as National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan. The ACiNE Congress consists of several agendas, namely, workshops, discussion sessions, poster presentations, oral presentations, coffee breaks and gala dinners. The organizers also provided a booth as media of promotion nursing department for each university, including UMY.
